Every rental includes insurance. The most you could ever pay towards damage depends on one thing — your age. Here is the whole rule, and the full list of what is covered and what is not.
For anything on this list the renter pays the full cost of the repair. That is the rule in the rental terms, and it applies with full insurance too.
A scraped bumper in a car park. Aged 27 or over: you pay nothing. Aged 24 on basic cover: up to €1,200. Aged 24 with the €10-a-day upgrade: nothing.
A cracked windscreen from a stone. Covered: nothing to pay on full insurance, up to €1,200 on basic cover.
The underside torn on the dirt road to Balos. Not covered at any age: the repair is paid in full.
No. We take no deposit and no credit card at any age. The excess is only the most you would owe if covered damage happened; nothing is held on a card when you collect the car.
Yes. Choose full insurance in the booking form: it costs €10 a day and brings your excess for covered damage to zero.
Yes. Tyres, wheels and hubcaps, and the windscreen, mirrors and glass are covered — with no excess on full insurance, and up to the €1,200 excess on basic cover.
No. Unpaved roads are excluded at any age and with any cover, and the road to Balos is named in the rental terms, so damage there is paid in full.
Call us and the local police straight away, and do not move the car until you are told to. Roadside assistance is available 24/7.
Yes, when the extra driver is 27 or over. An extra driver under 27 drives on basic cover with a €1,200 excess, unless you add full cover for them in the booking form for €10 a day. On a monthly rental every driver has zero excess. A second driver is free; one aged 18–22 pays the young-driver fee, like a main driver of that age.
