How renting by the month works

• A month is 30 days from the day you collect the car. Pick it up on the 20th and you bring it back on the 19th of the following month. No calendar arithmetic, no part-months.
• Every month has its own price. A car costs less in November than in August, and the price you pay is the one for the month your rental starts in — for all thirty days of it.
• From one month to twelve. Choose how many when you book; each additional month is priced at the month it begins in.
• No deposit and no credit card. The same as every other rental with us, for any length of stay.
• The return date works itself out. Choose the day you want the car and we fill in the day it comes back.

What the monthly price includes

Everything. Full insurance, unlimited kilometres, a second driver, delivery and collection, and 24/7 roadside assistance are all inside the monthly figure. There is no delivery charge and no out-of-hours charge on a monthly rental. The one thing that can be added is the young driver fee: drivers aged 18 to 22 pay €300 a month, shown in the booking form before you enter any details. The price on the car is the price you pay.

Who rents a car by the month

People who are staying. Seasonal workers arriving for the summer, remote workers spending a winter somewhere warm, families visiting for an extended period, and residents whose own car is off the road. If you are in Crete for weeks rather than days, a month at a fixed price is cheaper and simpler than renewing a daily rental every week.

• A valid driving licence — an International Driving Permit as well if yours is not from the EU
• An ID card or passport
• To be 18 or over. Drivers aged 18 to 22 pay a young driver fee of €300 a month; from 23 there is none

How much does it cost to rent a car for a month in Crete?

It depends on the car and on which month you start. Each car carries its own price for a whole month, and every month is priced separately — a winter month costs less than August. The exact figure is shown on the car itself and in the booking form before you enter any details.

How long is a month?

Thirty days from the day you collect the car. If you pick it up on 20 August you return it on 19 September, and you pay August's price for all thirty days because that is the month the rental starts in.

Is there a deposit for a long term rental?

No. We take no deposit and no credit card on a monthly rental, exactly as on a daily one. You can pay when you collect the car or online beforehand.
