• No deposit and no pre-authorisation. We do not freeze money you then wait weeks to get back.
• No card details to book. A name, a phone number and an email are enough.

Car rental with a debit card, cash or online — how and when you pay

Car hire without a credit card works here exactly like any other rental: you pay when you collect the car — cash or debit card. If you would rather settle it beforehand you can pay online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; that is a choice, not a requirement. The price you saw when booking is the price you pay.

And if the car is damaged?

Drivers aged 27 and over get full insurance with zero excess, included in the price: nothing to pay towards covered damage, tyres, wheels, windscreen and glass included. Drivers under 27 get basic insurance with a €1,200 excess, and can add full insurance with zero excess for €10 a day in the booking form. It is not a deposit either: nothing is blocked or held when you collect the car. Not covered: the underside and the interior, drink or drugs, unpaved or prohibited roads (the road to Balos included), negligence or a breach of the rental terms (such as running a STOP sign), lost keys and personal belongings. If something happens, call us and we sort it out.

Why we can do this

We are a small family business, not a chain with a call centre. We know every car and meet every customer ourselves. The card hold exists to protect companies that have no idea who they are handing a car to.

Can I rent a car in Crete without a credit card?

No. Delivery to Heraklion Airport is free and nothing is blocked or held there either — you sign, take the keys and drive off. The same applies at Heraklion Port and at your hotel.

Yes. You pay when you collect the car, in cash or by any card — Visa, Mastercard, debit, prepaid or Revolut. Nothing is blocked on the card, so a debit card works exactly like any other. You can also pay online in advance by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
