Do you need an SUV on Crete?

Not for the roads: the national road, the resorts and most of the famous beaches are on tarmac, in any car. An SUV gives you a higher seat, a better view on mountain bends and more room for luggage. It does not make the car an off-roader: ours are front-wheel drive, and the rental terms do not allow unpaved or off-road surfaces in any car.

The same terms as every car we rent

• No deposit and no credit card. You pay when you collect the car, in cash or by debit card — or online before you arrive.
• Free delivery to Heraklion Airport and Heraklion Port. We meet you at arrivals with the keys.
• Insurance included. From age 27 it is full cover with zero excess; under 27 you can add full cover for €10 a day.
• Roof rack available for surfboards or bikes, €16 a day.
• Unlimited kilometres and a second driver at no extra cost.

Frequently asked questions

Are your SUVs 4×4?

No. Our SUVs are front-wheel drive. You do not need four-wheel drive on any paved road in Crete, and the rental terms rule out unpaved tracks whatever you drive.

Can I drive my rental car to Balos?

To Kaliviani, yes — about three hours from Heraklion on good road. The last 8 km to Balos are an unpaved track excluded from every rental insurance in Crete, ours included. The boat from Kissamos port is the way to get there covered.

Can I add a roof rack?

Yes, on our SUVs, for €16 a day. You choose it in the booking form after you pick the car.
