How much is delivery to Malia?

€30, charged once for the delivery and once for the collection if you want both here. It appears in the booking form the moment you choose Malia, before you type anything else.

Which part of Malia do you cover?

All of it — the beach strip, the old town up the hill, and the hotels along the road towards Stalida. Give us the hotel name and we agree a time.

Is a car worth it in Malia?

The Minoan palace is a fifteen-minute walk from the beach, so not for that. But Malia is the last resort before the road empties: Sissi, Milatos and the coast towards Agios Nikolaos start where the buses stop, and the Lasithi Plateau is under an hour inland.

Can I pick up in Malia and return at the airport?

Yes, at no extra cost. The airport is about forty minutes west along the old road, or less on the new one.

What does car hire in Malia cost?

Cars start at €37 a day with full insurance and unlimited kilometres included, plus €30 to bring it to you in Malia. Child seats and a second driver are free. The booking form shows the whole total before you type anything.

Do I need a credit card or a deposit?

Neither. We take no deposit and we do not need a credit card — you pay when we hand you the keys in Malia, in cash or by card. It is the main reason people book with us instead of at an airport desk.

Is parking a problem in Malia?

Not at the hotels, which nearly all have their own parking, and not at the Minoan palace. It is only tight in the old town and along the beach road in the evening, when everyone arrives at once. Anywhere else you will park without thinking about it.

Malia is the eastern end of the Heraklion resort coast, about forty minutes from the airport. East of it the road climbs towards Neapoli and Agios Nikolaos, an hour away; inland it turns up to the Lasithi Plateau and the Diktaean cave.
