We are based in Heraklion and drive the car across to Chania Airport for a flat €80. Everything else — no deposit, no credit card, full insurance — is exactly the same.
Because Chania is a 140 km drive from our base in Heraklion, and someone has to make that drive twice: once to bring you the car, once to collect it. The €80 covers both directions and is charged once, not per day.
Only if you also return it in Chania. Collect in Chania and drop off in Heraklion and you pay the fee once.
At the terminal, at the point we agree with you beforehand. As in Heraklion we send the plate number in advance and we track your flight.
If your plans are flexible, yes — delivery in Heraklion is free. But if Chania is where your flight lands, €80 once is usually less than a taxi transfer for a family plus luggage.
Chania Airport is on the Akrotiri peninsula, 15 minutes from Chania old town and about 25 from the beaches at Stavros. Elafonisi is roughly two hours west, Balos a little under two.
